Cretan Lyra by Zacharis Spyridakis

Zacharis Spyridakis is one of Crete's finest and most innovative lyra players. He was one of Kostas Mountakis' foremost students since childhood and, upon completing his studies, worked for many years as an assistant teacher to Mountakis. In recent years he founded the group Palaina Seferia, whose fresh and different approach to Cretan music deeply impressed Cretan music lovers on Crete as well as elsewhere.
