Rami will guide students in the art of the Arabic style and technique of playing the Nay as well as introducing them to key elements of its repertoire.
Rami Ourabi, from Tunisia, is a young and exceptionally talented exponent of the Arabic Nay. He studied Arabic music (2006), Nay (2009) and Musicology (2010). He has participated in various both at home as well as abroad festivals - International University festival of Marrakech (2009), the ‘Fimu’ in France (2013), the International Festival of Carthage-and has received numerous awards for his playing (silver Tanit at the ‘Musical days of Carthage’ and the 2nd prize of the International Festival of Arabic Music in Cairo).
