The seminar will focus on the Rhythmic cycles as well as rhythmic and polyrhythmic compositions. Students is required to have at least a medium knowledge level. The seminar is open to frame drums and tombak players.
Bijan Chemirani, learned to play the zarb with his father Djamchid Chemirani and his brother Keyvan. Encouraged by them, he began at a very early age to work in concert and make recordings with musicians such as Ross Daly, Dariush Talai, Ballaké Sissoko, Jean Guihen Queyras, Sylvain Luc, Sting, Socrates Sinopoulos, Serge Teyssot Gai, Renaud Garcia Fons.
Living in Marseille, Bijan is in close contact with the Mediterranean culture and with that of Occitania. His open mind enables him to increase his capacities constantly.
