Level of participants: Basic to Intermediate

Sight reading: necessary for certain compositions

This seminar will focus on the basic technique of the Istanbul Kemence as it derives from the study of its repertoire. More specifically, during the seminar we will study songs and compositions from both Greece & Turkey in a way that will allow to deepen our knowledge on the variegation and the use of the bow as well as the modal & rhythmic elements of each music piece.
