Level of participants: All levels are welcome
Scores will be given for every song (GR-EN) but for the participation in the seminar, it is not necessary to know how to read music or have previous experience.
This seminar is focusing on the traditional songs of different parts of Greece and more precisely on their patterns, spaces and rhythm.
This study of songs which are coming from different musical traditions of Greece will give the opportunity to the participants to identify their relationship with other Balkan and Mediterranean music idioms. For every song will be given elements regarding its folkloric origin and which will place it in the yearly cycle of customs and celebrations.
Seminars of all types include ten 3-hour courses and the timetable is defined in consultation with the teacher in the first lesson!
