Evgenia Toli- Damavoliti studied and worked on Exercise Physiology, while her big love till today remains traditional dance and singing. She comes from Platanos a village in Kissamos (Chania, Crete) and from Preveza (Epirus). Thanks to her grandfather, Stefanis Andronikakis who was a singer in Kissamos, Evgenia came in contact with the music and dance traditions of Kissamos area since her childhood. Beside her grandfather she met old great singers of Kissamos such as Naftis, M. Kounelis and S. Karefillakis.

In Athens Evgenia has got to know and has studied the music and dance traditions of other regions of Greece, while she has participated and organized seminars and shows of related subject. Evgenia has studied traditional singing beside Chronis Aidonidis, Nektaria Karatzi and Thodoris Petropoulos, she has participated in seminars in Labyrinth Musical Workshop and has collaborated with Ross Daly, singing in one of his productions. Since 2009 she is part of the dance and music school of ‘Horodion’ where she is teaching Cretan singing since 2014. Since 1998 she is a member of ‘Kourites’ (Folklore Assosciation) and she has also been a member of the Greek Center of Folklore Research.
