Fb: poulianakis kostas, Poulianakis Percussion
Kostis Poulianakis plays many of the percussion instruments of the Mediterranean and the Middle East (frame drums, arabic darabuka, davul, udu, tombak and duf), but also kaval, ney and lavta (laud from Istanbul).
From 2009 till 2017 he has been teaching at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki the lesson of traditional percussion and rhythmical practice. From 2014 to 2016 he did his masters in music in the World Music Department of Codarts Academy integrating Indian rhytmology and technique to frame drums and darabuka. He has composed several musical pieces, some of which are presented in his first work with Rosal Trio, “Triantafyllia”.
